Cannabis Thought Leaders

Dr. Ethan Russo

No serious cannabis writer doesn’t know about Dr. Ethan Russo.

That’s because Dr. Russo has authored some of the most important research related to cannabis.

the einstein of cannabis?
The Einstein of Cannabis?

In the past, he’s acted as the President of the International Cannabinoid Research Society.

Currently, he’s the Director of Research and Development at the International Cannabis and Cannabinoids Institute.

Moreover, he’s spent the last 8 years on the Board of Advisors for the American Botanical Council and spent over a decade at GW Pharmaceuticals where he was a Senior Medical Advisor.

There, he spent time focusing on Phase II and Phase III trials of Sativex.

Ed Rosenthal

Ed is less studious and more outspoken.

While Dr. Russo is not shy to speak his mind about cannabis, Ed makes a point of doing so.

He’s long been at the forefront of pushing for the legalization of cannabis and is deadset on his take-no-prisoners approach in his charge forward.

Listen to Ed speak and he’ll make it clear: cannabis belongs to the people.

That’s why we encourage people to follow Ed Rosenthal.

Dr. Steve DeAngelo

Another scientist you might not have heard of, Dr. DeAngelo.

However, we wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve already heard of him, it’s easier to list off what he hasn’t done for the industry over his career.

Colloquially called, “The Father of Cannabis,” Dr. DeAngelo was a founder of the National Cannabis Industry Association, Steep Hill Laboratory (the first of its kind), and Harborside, one of the original dispensaries licensed in the US.
